Sax & Beats is a modern take on early hip hop/jazz mixtapes, Ziaire Trinidad Sherman used to listen to in car with his father. The tapes consisted of instrumentalists playing the melody and soloing over Top 40 Hip Hop instrumentals.  Ziaire warped this aesthetic and mixed it with his group Zion. Typically, Zion is an augmented trio, expanding the sound of a jazz trio with electronics, however for this performance it featured a duo.
