hEar
hEar is a project developed by Ziaire during his residency at Fabrica Research Center. He set out to find a way to connect with the other residence in his guest from of connection: Music. Ziaire curated a series where each cohort would have a week where they can focus their practice on music. This included curating a playlist for the workshop to listen to everyday. As well as presenting to me a concept for a musical piece they would like to create with me. Their involvement included everything from writing original lyrics, participating in a live performance, and writing poetry. The tracks would be written, produced, and recorded in seven days, and debuted to kick off the next cohort’s week. This project helped to maintain morale and consistency within the residency, allowing them all do gain a deeper understanding for people of various backgrounds.
Participants included Evelin Mazzaro, Bobbi Fay, Charlot Denis, Nazira Karimi, Faith Shields, Giorgia Burzio, Tom Davis, Tom Heath, VV Morais, Biole Park, Camille Baudry, Igor Furtado, Mohammad El Hajoui.
