BLACK BRASS

Black Brass is Cincinnati based black brass band put together to uplift spirits. Ziaire, on Baritone Saxophone, is one of the leading members of the ensemble. With this he also helped developed the groups public image. We set out to bring people together through the positivity of music. Our debut performance was at an Juneteenth event during COVID. The was centered around using tables to have conversations people from all walks of life. Throughout 2020-2022, Black Brass was known for their pop up events which always featured an evolving line; From a traditional street band to a full band with strings, rhythm section and horns. I also developed our logo which the iconic black power afro fist pick holding a trumpet.
